What is DVD w/PPR?
PPR stands for Public Performance Rights. A DVD w/PPR license permits the buyer to use the film in non-theatrical venues for educational purposes, fundraising events, community screening and more. Standard educational DVD w/PPR purchases are in perpetuity for use by the institution, its staff and students. Organizations, community groups wishing to screen the film in non-theatrical venues can purchase DVD w/PPR rights for one event. In many cases, events with an audience of 50 people or less are discounted. Films purchased without Public Performance Rights are restricted for individual viewing only. What is a DSL?
DSL stands for Digital Site License. A DSL permits the buyer of the license to host the film on a password-protected or locked system for the term of the license. A DSL allows unlimited streaming for the term of the license. Standard license terms are sold in 1,3 and 5 year increments for educational use. Non-educational DSLs are available for custom terms as short as 1 day and make for wonderful online events. What is a DVD-R?
Almost all of our films, when delivered on DVD, are are beautifully packaged in standard Amaray cases. There are a few, however, that are available only as DVD-R. These are versions of the film delivered on disc without commercial packaging. In our new era of digital, some filmmakers elect to not replicate commercial versions. These film are noted on their pages just above the License Option Pull-Down Menu to alert you of the deliver format. They play in virtually all DVD players.
How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed on our site www.soundviewmediapartners.com using a major credit or debit card. Simply visit the page for a film, add the correct license to your cart and proceed to checkout.
Orders can also be emailed to info@soundviewmediapartners.com. Upon receipt, we will send you an invoice payable by major credit or debit card OR via check.
Orders can be mailed to Soundview Media Partners at 38 Seagull Lane, Port Washington, NY 11050. Please include the title(s) you want to purchase along with your payment to Soundview Media Partners.
All orders require pre-payment.
How do I calculate processing/shipping fees?
All deliveries require a processing fee. These are calculated as $7 for the first film (or item) + $4 for each additional film (or item). This pertains to DVD w/PPR or DSL purchases. If ordering via our site, processing fees are slightly discounted and are automatically calculated. If ordering by mail and paying via check, please include the processing fee(s) with your payment. Orders requiring shipment outside of the US or Canada have slightly higher processing/shipping fees.
When will my order ship?
In most cases, DVD w/PPR shipments occur within 72 business hours. Unless other arrangements are made, orders ship via USPS first class or UPS or Fedex ground service with tracking information provided upon shipment. DSL digital deliveries take a bit longer, usually within 7-10 business days and require that you supply us with your recipient FTP or WeTransfer address. If necessary, we can also deliver on a hard drive.
Privacy Policy
Soundview does not collect information about visitors except those that place orders on site. Your information is used only to process your order and will never be shared with other parties except as part of the fulfillment process itself. Placing an order with us does result in your being added to our own mailing list. If you want to opt out of this please drop us a note.
