Gay Rights, pro and con, from the perspective of the 1980’s.

This 1982 program, hosted by David Susskind, pitted area religious scholars against prominent New York gay men in what certainly turned into a heated debate.

There was still wide spread discrimination against gay men (let alone others in what has come to be known as the LGBTQ community).

The religious leaders saw nothing wrong with it according to their faith, and the gay men argued that they should be allowed to be themselves without fear of discrimination.

Featured in the program were Pastor Jesse Lee, Dr. William Marra, Rabbi Yehuda Levin, Matt Foreman, David Rothenberg and Tom Stoddard

1982 / 57 minutes / Color 4×3 standard def / Produced and directed by David Susskind
