Explores the dynamic between humans and dogs in this case, senior dogs…

From director Gorman Bechard (Pizza: A Love Story) comes a loving and insightful twist on the age old adage…

“An old dog can teach you new tricks!”

SENIORS, A DOGUMENTARY is an animal welfare film that will bring a smile to everyone’s face. Focusing on the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, Chaser the Border Collie, and famed photographer Jane Sobel Klonsky, the film highlights friskiness and intelligence, vitality and loving bonds.

Filled with a unique cast of characters – canine and otherwise – and brimming with an endearing original score composed almost entirely of toy instruments by the way, the filmmaker was clearly intent on capturing the value to be found in any good human / dog dynamic. A positive emphasis is placed on older dogs and the worthiness of their rescue in a refreshingly charming way.

The disc version of Seniors features extensive bonus materials including

Q&A at World Premiere in Nashville, Watching the Total Solar Eclipse at Old Friends Senior Dogs Sanctuary, Jane photographs Leo and Friends, Michael’s Thoughts on Senior Dogs, More about LeoSpringsteen VS. the Paper Towel Roll and more…

“Anyone who has a passion for animal rescue or who’s ever loved a dog through their last doggie days will delight in SENIORS. Highly Recommended” – E. Peek, The Sound View
